History of canary

Canary Islands, Spain dominated the nation in 1478. At that time, canaries are hunted on a large scale. The birds are taken to Spain. As expected, the canary became very famous and desired by Spain people. Canary bird also become a favorite birds in the Spanish empire.

Canary also successfully farmed. In the sixteenth century, Spain became the country's largest exporter of canary
to Europe. Spain controlled almost a century canaries trade, and in deployment, spain very cautious and would not compete in terms of cultivation. Therefore, only male canaries are allowed to be traded.

Since the XVII century, spain canary trade monopoly ended. This is related to the success of Italy in finding a canary on the island of Elba. The existence of this canary is a result of Spanish ships that sank carrying a canary in the mid-sixteenth century. Canary survivors are released and find a suitable place on the island of Elba.
